The upgrade of our China headquarters is not only a tribute to our 40-year journey in this country, but also a milestone of our investment and development here,” said Eddy Chan, senior vice president of FedEx Express and president of FedEx China. “We are confident in China’s prospects and will continue to enhance our local presence. By building more flexible, efficient, and intelligent supply chains, we are strengthening trade ties and connectivity between China and the world. I believe the new China headquarters will better support FedEx’s business expansion in China and bring us more opportunities for further growth.”

Since entering the China market in 1984, FedEx has established 102 branches and over 100 ground stations across China, with nearly 11,000 employees and approximately 3,000 vehicles. It operates more than 300 international flights in China per week. As a key hub for global trade, Shanghai plays a critical role in the FedEx global network. Currently, FedEx has approximately 2,300 team members in Shanghai, providing efficient and reliable transportation services to customers with three ground stations and nearly 480 vehicles. FedEx established its China headquarters in Shanghai in 2004 and introduced its first Boeing 777 freighter in Shanghai in 2010, connecting the city directly with the FedEx World Hub in Memphis, US. In 2018, the FedEx Shanghai International Express and Cargo Hub at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, began operations. As the largest of its kind at the airport and a major FedEx facility in the Asia-Pacific region, the facility enhances connectivity and convenience for packages shipped between Eastern China, the US and Europe.
